Hello my good friends. This is Michael Welch. "But wait just a gab-flabbin' minute! How do we know you're the reeeeeal Michael Welch?!" Well, I'll tell you something only I would know. My very first job as a professional actor was when I was ten years old. It was an American Savings Bank radio commercial. Does American Savings Bank even exist anymore? I don't know and I'm too lazy to google it. In that commercial, I recited a poem with my young, lisp-ridden voice. The poem went as follows:

Quietly I go downward into the abyss that is forever
Leaving shelter for tomorrow
Solace for today
Tears, tears

There. Now who in their right mind would make that up? And who else would know that but me? If you still need proof, I'm sure you'll get some kind of confirmation through Shirl or TeeJay, two outstanding young ladies.

First of all, sorry for taking so long to respond to these questions. I'll try to answer more quickly in the future. I'm leaving in a couple days (04-04-09) to go film a movie, you may have heard of it, called "New Moon." It's about a boy named Mike Newton, a fun and quirky small town athlete who has his heart set on a girl named Bella. Unaware of his supernatural competition, Mike finds himself hopelessly in love and full of a puppy's gusto in his efforts to woo this young lady. Will he succeed? Find out this November in "New Moon"... Oh, and I think there's some vampire/werewolf action happening as well, but that's just a side story.

Thanks as always for the support, and like I said, I'll try to be more hasty in my response from now on.

This question is from Loud_n’_Crazy_Girl.

Do you remember the Twitour and how you had to dance with the winners of the contest? Now do you remember how you had to get escorted out but the body guards to get to the elevators? So I was noticed that there were three girls that were wearing matching blue dress'(I was one of them , the one that wasn't singing) I was wondering what you thought about that. . was it as awkward for you as it was for me? Cuse the look on your face was like .. yeah i caught you girls dancing and singing to So What but Pink. .. . yea i was just wondering what you thought about it?

Ok, first of all, your name is Loud n’ Crazy Girl, and you WEREN’T singing? Tisk Tisk. :hiper: And secondly, think back to that weekend. Do you really think I would judge ANYONE for dancing or singing in a silly, uninhibited manner? You remember my “performance” right? If not, the video is on YouTube, and you can clearly see that I’m not someone you need to feel embarrassed about singing, dancing, or being whacky in front of. I’ve built a career around being anti-social. It’s fun, I recommend it.

This is from CrystalDragon.

Do you remember a few years ago, a convention called Shore Leave? Ok, now do you remember this girl who had crazy colors in her hair, and went with you the kids room, and chilled at your table off and on? Yeah, hopefully you do 'cause that was me! Anyway, I mostly want to just say hi, and hoped you remembered me, and say hi. So all goals accomplished! Yay (LoLx). Although I would love if you'd answer this with a 'Yeah I remember you' or a 'No, sorry, don't.', but whatevers. Thanks!

Of course I remember you, crazy-color-haired Crystal! We had a blast at Shore Leave back in, what, 2004? Wow, it’s been a while. It’s good to hear from you. How’ve you been? I’ve been doing pretty well since then. I’m actually going back to Shore Leave this year. It was a very small, intimate event as I recall. And I spent most of my time hanging out with you and a few other people. We played poker, we went swimming, we had lobster! Good times were had by all! I can’t promise the same level of chillin' this year… “Twilight” has been a little bigger than “Joan” or “Stargate” were for me… But if you come, PLEASE stop by and see me, at least for a little bit. I’d love to catch up. Thanks for checking in! Hope to see you in Maryland.

This is from alfredweser1.

hi michael... i know you won't remember me, but me and a group of my friends used to do extra work on JoA all the time... fun times anyway... i was just wondering if there was ANY possibility for a JoA movie? any kind... tv or feature. it was such a great show, not only to work on, but to watch and i know that there are so many unanswered questions. with the popularity of tv shows getting dvd film releases... Stargate SG-1, Dead Like Me, etc... i was just wondering if the idea had been thrown out there. thanks! hope you are doing well!

Hey Alfred (IF that is your real name). You know, it’s not a bad idea. We ended that second season with such a cliffhanger, everyone thought, “There’s no POSSOBLE way they’re gonna leave us hanging like this, right?” Unfortunately, that’s the nature of this relentless beast called network television… Those WERE fun times. I assume you and your friends were a part of the high school group. I was really lucky. I got to be there for all the high school fun, and the Girardi family fun. Only Amber and I enjoyed that privilege on a weekly basis. Although Amber worked twice as hard as I did (at least), so I guess I had the best position of anyone in the cast. :weee: Hehehehe..

To answer your question, no one has brought up anything thus far. If we have a reunion, it’ll have to be by the hand of “Joan” creator, Barbara Hall. Otherwise, I don’t think any of us will want to do it. I feel like part of the downfall of the show was her artistic absence. Not to pass blame around or anything, I think things worked out the way they were supposed to. And I guess you can’t ask someone with such an immense, creative mind to stay with one thing for too long. But I don’t think CBS would’ve kept us on anyway. Decisions like that are made for business and not artistic reasons. “Joan” was replaced by “Ghost Whisperer,” because according to CBS President Les Moonves, “Ghosts skew younger than God.” Not to talk bad of one of my many corporate overlords, you wonderful, glorious man, Mr. Moonves! Shine your shoes for a nickle?... But in all seriousness, I'm very grateful for those two years which I will take with me for the rest of my life.

In all honesty, it’s probably not going to happen. I’ll let you know if anything changes, but I really just don’t really see it at this point. Thanks for watching though and I’m glad you got to be a part of our little family on Stage 26 of the Sony lot in beautiful downtown Culver City… Was it Stage 26, or 23? I think 23 was the Girardi house and 26 was the high school. Yeah, that’s it.
